self timer. it is focused! focus is on the heart thingy and vase, not me. 18 mm f3.6. blanket setup for the background. tones adjusted in post editing. im getting tired of normal matte framing, so i thought i'd go for the sad movie look

Vision
Here, empty glass with heart on it and sitting style of model is perfect fit for given title. But I think the upper edge of image should bit high up to model's lips; it gives more feel of loneliness by expression. By the way, due to uneven hairstyle it also seems very perfect!
Originality
This images is one of the best way to show lover alone.
Technique
Depth of field gives very good effect to overall concept. It highlights glass bottle & heart, and sends model to loneliness. Color theme is also good.
Impact
Feelings of 'lover alone without love' is clearly coming out of picture. Main colors (red, black & white) indicates their own style: RED - LOVE, BLACK & WHITE - FEEL OF LOANED.
So, it is a perfect according to theme.
Overall it beautifully done.

i really like this picture how the focus is mainly on the vase with the heart in it, yet the model brings (probably) most of your viewers. she is darling. allong with the photograph. I love how she seems so pained by love because it rather potrays the fact that love isn't easy. well done!

Very Interesting Piece
I like the vase with the heart on top. The fact that the vase is empty is very deep. It almost looks as though the heart is barely being supported and ready to fall.

I really love the concept; Valentine's Day is an empty holiday... If one has not love, they are nothing and this shows that "nothingness feeling"...
Paul refers to those that do not have love as being "a noisy gong or a clanging cymbol" in the book of 1 Corithians in the Bible... It's in 1 Corinthians 13:1 to be exact... ^___^
