The real Paopu Fruit? This is a real carambola or star fruit (see wiki: [link] ). The Paopu fruit is a fictional star-shaped fruit from Kingdom Hearts (see KH wiki: [link] ). The star fruit only resembles the Paopu fruit; the Paopu fruit is not real

Materials and Methods
Nikon D80 + 50mm F1.8 + SB-600 + IR remote. Bounce lighting. GIMP for post editing. Contrast and Forest scripts used. Rotate, crop.

apparently starfruit have a poison that is really bad for either your kidneys or liver, but I dont remember which.

They're native to Asian. I'm on the east coast and I infrequently see them at Giant and Safeway

haha u get loads of this in singapore/asian countries XD haha but i normally dun cut them in star shapes ( yea kidna defeats the purpose right o.O) but the insides + seeds r more easily removed if u do that haha
tips: blend it with salt if u think its too sour~ ahha its a good drink

Ahh.. I ate one of these only once, and it was the best fruit I've ever eaten. Sadly my grocery store stoped selling them, but I haven't stoped looking for them since. I even asked for them for christmas because I want them again so bad....
It makes me want to move to Guam. My dad told me lots of them grow there.
