Here's a scene from the Her Interactive Nancy Drew PC game, Alibi in the Ashes.

In the game, Nancy is framed for burning down the town hall and held in police custody. So with help from her friends, Bess and George, as well as her boyfriend, Ned, Nancy must prove her innocence and find the real culprit.

In this scene, after Nancy is released but hasn't found the culprit yet, she stops by the ice cream shop to question Deirdre Shannon. After a little conversation, she asks Nancy to tell Bess to stop spying on her (which she had been doing for most of the game) and Bess calls out that she's not doing that, only for Deirdre to point out that the fact that she just responded to her accusation means that she was, much to Bess's embarrassment that she gave herself away.
