It'd work great in a Call of Cthulhu campaign setting, or a Hellboy RPG Campaign setting.
He'd definitely fit in on the remake of "The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward".

I discovered H.P. in 1978 and his work has colored my vision of what horror should be ever since. I have nothing against splatter movies, but I find myself looking for tittilation rather than investing myself in those movies. Does the naked/half-naked girl have nice abs or legs or arms? Oh look, she's been punctured by a harpoon...next! Anyways, thanks for a nice piece that reminds me of a world of horror I can indulge myself in rather than just watch.
