A pen and ink drawing from Dec 2005. Some photoshop cleanup.Fanart of DC comics' Wonder Woman. I was going through my old drawings looking for pieces to sell, and came across this picture, which I thought looked pretty good. Also I don't have nearly enough WW art on here, so here you go!

almost like it's simplified down to a minimalist level of elements to capture the iconic look of Wonder Woman. (lasso, tiara, bracelets, just a glimpse of the bustier)

Just so I'm clear, this is definitely a case of simple is good.
pulling of minimalist approach takes skill. using the minimal number of lines to get the image across.

Awesome! That has to be one of the more classic Wonder Woman poses. Perhaps almost as recognizable as Superman flexing to bust chains off of him!
You know, I often don't do poses like this when doing my characters and I blame Wizard magazine for this. How they rip on artists who crop characters to make them look like amputees or worse. Now, I understand it's a joke and often they are poking fun at each other, but ... never been one to make fun of others for the sake of cruelty. Constructive criticism, sure ...

Thanks! I don't remember now what influenced me on this picture, but no doubt I am leaning on a previous picture for the pose.
And that's just another reason not to read Wizard magazine, it sounds like.
