The wings would take the encounter to a whole new level!
I think adding a half-fiend template would do the trick (I suppose it's completely legal by the rules; half-dragon dragons are).

Truthfully. as most fiends can teleport at will, wouldn't flying be redundant?
Still the idea of a marilith grabbing up a hapless adventurer (while improved invisibility is active) , flying off into the sky as his party members look on, crushing the life out of them and then dropping the corpse on the party would have a wonderful psychological effect. (Yes, I am a DM, and my players hate me

My players have yet to reach the appropriate level for demonic encounters. But now I'm rather thinking of a Fiendish Half-Dragon Half-Fiend Gelatinous Cube

I think I like the wings tho, they suit her. They make her look like a draconic demon. You'd think it would make it look like she's bulky, but I think they actually balance her out. Very cool.
