This was a request from .I loved this scene in the game so I was happy to do it. It was quite hard to draw, especially Fina's head. I couldn't get the angle right (she's meant to be leaning on Vyse's shoulder) and still doesn't look right. I need to practice hands as well.
So I hope you like it Falchion1984 and I'm sorry for the pretty long delay.

Oh, man, this is sweet! They look so adorable together! I myself am a bit of a Skies of Arcadia fan myself. It's my favorite game, second to Dragon Quest VIII. I own the Gamecube version of this game, since I don't have a Sega Dreamcast. And secondly, I was lucky enough to find the Gamecube version. I'm told this game is rare, but I only bought it for 7.99 at my local GameCrazy. Sorry for the ones who suffered paying over the price. I will tell you, Vyse is my favorite human character because of his balanced personality and his awesome clothes design. It's one of the coolest I've seen for a hero, next to Lloyd Irving's.
Even if I haven't seen the scene where this picture takes place, this is when they're giving Fina a good-bye party,right? (Sorry, I read ahead on Wikipedia.)
I will agree with most users, the eyes are a little more expressive than their eyes in the games,
(when I drew Vyse he had smaller eyes) but that's okay. It makes them look pretty attractive, kinda even looking a little kawaii. Still, even if it did look a little like that, you still crafted intricateness in their clothing, especially Vyse's (we know how much crap he wears, but it makes him look pretty cool as well.)
As for the hands and Fina's position, I thought it looked pretty okay, because the eyes kept them in balance, so there was a good excuse why the eyes were a sliver larger than their actual appearance. Trust me, I've drawn pictures where the characters had the realistic of all bodies features, but the dumbest of all hands.
Anyway, keep up the good work! I may put this in my faves.

And OMG, what a huge flipping comment. Mainly I did ranting for DQ8. Did you ever play that game on PS2? It's flippin awesome.

Yeah, DQ8 was a pretty awesome game. I've done some fan art sketches of it, I should really upload some of it, maybe colour it in too.

I love this pairing, thanks so much for doing this pic. I'd have to say that you're best strength here is in drawing the characters. Their clothes, body forms and expressions are very well done. And, of course, that pose is irresistible. I did notice a few oddities with the background however. First, is this suppossed to take place on Crescent Isle on the eve of the final battle against Galcian and Ramirez where Vyse did this in the game? If so, the Moon in the background is the wrong one. Crescent Isle is located in Nasrean territory under the RED Moon. Or, if this is supposed to happen after the battle in Mid-Ocean (where the Silver Moon is) then it's fine. Another oddity is the lack of stars. I'm not sure if fixing that is necessary, but it's your call. Well, thanks again for doing this for me and I hope you enjoy my original and Fire Emblem fiction when time allows. Keep in touch.

I know I didn't do the correctly coloured moon, but I preferred to just have a normal/Silver moon. That's all. And about stars. Well there wasn't really much room for them (the left half of the sky is meant to be the big rock formation at the front of the Isle, guess it's kinda hard to tell) without them looking weird. But thanks for the very detailled response btw. ^__^
I'll hopefully get around to reading some of your fiction sometime. =] (if only it was the summer holidays.. *sigh*)
