The king's words rang in Twilight's mind as she looked at the king of corruption, who was grinning madly behind the mass of controlled ponies.
"What do I fight for?" she asked grimacing at the pain coming from her broken wing.
"I fight for my friends." she continued her right eye going out of focus again.
"I fight for my family." she said looking at Shining Armor, who looked as if Queen Chrysalis had sucked all the love out of him.
"I fight to have them back." she lit her horn she knew it was risky but she was out of options right then.
"But most of all, I FIGHT FOR THE GOOD OF ALL PONYKIND!" she yelled throwing the last of her remaining energy into her spell summoning the Rainbow Power that would stop the corruption once and for all!
As Twilight's mane began to wave and change colors the other mane six were pulled out of their trance to join her. The Rainbow blasted towards the king sealing him in stone just like his heart. Twilight landed on the ground as the abundant power slipped away leaving her how she was before she had cast the spell.
Collapsing onto the ground her vision blurred seeing only yellow and orange, then just white and blue.
Her left eye came back into focus the faces of her father and mother the closest to her. She smiled they were all safe.
"Twilight!" Shining yelled pushing through most of the crowd "Can you hear me?"
"Yes Shiny I can." Twilight rasped gazing up at her friend's "I know what happened-" she broke out in a fit of coughing there was blood everywhere, "I summoned Rainbow Power-" more coughing.
Celestia almost screamed "NO TWILIGHT YOU DIDN'T!" she broke down in sobs, she knew all too well what that meant, Twilight wouldn't be able to have healing spells work on her for at least a week, her body wouldn't respond.
Twilight reached up with her good wing brushing Celestia's cheek and said "I know what I did." almost everyone had caught on by now, her friends were sobbing, her parents were shaking, Shining was on his knees Twilight's vision blurred again before she could tell anymore.
"Goodbye." her last moments were in silence the colors dimmed until she went to a better place.
Applejack took off her hat placed it over her heart, "Rest in peace Twi'."
