Description
After the revelation of Palpatine being an enemy of the Republic, and the understanding that the Clone Wars was never going to end until Palpatine was defeated and died, Kuat Shipyards, on authorization of the Republic Senate, began building better ships for the Republic Navy. The Republican Class Star Destroyers were the top of the line warships that were able to ensure that the Republic Navy was prepared for any battle.
