Description Hi All,   This is the screenshot of the Desktop Customisation that I coded for RainMeter. I think one of the reasons I coded this gross adaptation of  99Villages  elegant and futuristically hopeful RainMeter skin "Neon Space" and turned the most basic elements of  99Villages  elaborate and comprehensive skin into something pessimistic and futuristically [if that's real word ] depressing .'Cus while I KNOW that's spoiling something beautiful I've still got a grip on reality.
I dread the day I think I'm normalizing these Master pieces. then I lost the last littls bit of grip.  Hope some of you like it in some way.  Thanks

I like it. I happen to like things that have a gloomy, post-apocalyptic feel. The first thing I notice is the white bar on the right side of the screen, I (personally) don't care for it. Now, I should note that I LOVE the color green, in almost all forms. But I think that the use of lime green should be limited to the radioactive and bio hazard symbols only. The appearance of it on top of the red makes it pop, in a '90s PlayStation, kind of crappy graphics sort of way. I would suggest experimenting with color combinations. Also, just sort of a nit pick, but you may want to think about relocating the map, maybe just slightly, down and to the right. Also, the "documents", "Gary" (I think), "Computer", "Photoshop" and "Firefox?" should be over to the left some, unless that which is on the left pops out.

Those are just my thoughts, but I hope you find them helpful.

Hi.  Thanks for your kind comments.     Rainmeter is a piece of windows software that runs in the background. There are tons of widgets/meters and full suites available here on DA in the rainmeter group so to use it you don't even need to do your own coding.  The images, sounds, animations etc. are held in a separate folder and accessed by the program itself, which is coded in an adapted form of the Lua programming language. Hope that answers your question and if you want to give it a try yourself and need any help, please just give me a shout.......

Pretty cool stuff.
A bit difficult to read I imagine if I were to actually install it, definitely a nice work of art just wondering how I would use it

Curious actually, what do you code rainmeter skins in? Sounds like a lot of parts are involved, logic, animation, images/visual art, kinda interested in how one does this sort of thing?
