Overdue Durarara fanart that I spent WAY too long on D:I love so many characters from DRRR but my faves are Kida and Shizuo. So freaking badass~ <3 (But surprisingly I dont actually like Izaya that much. *STONED BY FANS*)
P.S., Kida and Shizuo didnt fight here lol
I just wanted to draw them bloodied and standing next to eachother.
Also, convo w/ my mom when she saw this:
Me: *rambles about the shading* I dunno, it looks weird. Do you think the two look a bit different?
Mom: *misses the real question* No, it looks fine! Girls and boys naturally look different anyways
Me: .................

Although I must admit, Kida's hips are a bit large. D:
Plus I always draw guys' faces kinda feminine-ly...

I fell in love with him admittedly when he stomped that cell phone. I died laughing. It was more in "season 2" that I was like :/ IZAYA WHAT ARE YOU DOING EVERYTHING IS GOING TO SHIT.
Another reason I'm curious of his back story. Why and how Russian of all languages~

THIS IS PRETTY MAGICAL I likes it very much.
And OH MY GOD the gender issue. NEVER SEEMS TO BE FULLY RESOLVED. We get so used to men in anime looking like that it comes natural to us. And then we hope someone will comment on the colors or shading or composition, but the first thing that comes up is some sentence with SHE in it.

It's not like Kida has even ANY hint of boobs here...and his hairstyle is fairly boyish even if a girl had it

XDD YEAH Izaya lacks a real story. It's only at the end we really find out who he is- other than that he's just kind of there. He's still pretty cool though I guess LOL
Man not only do they have the backstory, kida and shizuo are also the most kickass characters EVER. I also loved the whole van of ex-blue squares though ;3;

Well, except for maybe Namie (cause she's kinda useless for most of the time) and that girl who was obsessed with Seiji *cough* XD; But still, most of the characters are pretty awesome. :3

I gave up on this show months ago so fanart of DRRR! shouldn't be so significant to me, but I REALLY LOVE THIS A WHOLE LOT??? they just look so cool and the coloring is gorgeous ;;D;; and the BOKEH IN THE BG omg i love bokeh everything about this is wonderful

Aww, yeah, I can understand lol, DRRR is really confusing at first D: It takes a while for the plot to get rolling/make sense, but near the end it gets really awesome~ So the patience was pretty worth it!
