Your art at 16 is no worse than any of us, at that stage, Jeff.
I have saved almost nothing from that period. I remember throwing out boxes of old drawings, a long time ago, or bundling them up and using them for target practice.

Incredible. Love the level of detail. The characters are cool, and that is one kick ass tree in the background.

I wish I Could draw half as good as that when I was 16. Your drawings always rock. Though: FYI... there is a whole sect of Northerners who liked your old style of inking better, have you heard from them at all? Personally I judge all pieces of art on their own.
I might dig out my old VnV character sheets and start posting the old art from them on here.

I think that's probably the earliest piece of your work I've ever seen, and I have D&D stuff from waaay back that you illustrated.
It sounds hero-worshippy, I know, but it wouldn't be an understatement to say that seeing your art on a cover in those days would generate an instant sale from me and my gaming buddies.
Years ago I was talking to Allen Hammack (who worked for TSR before moving to AL and opening a game/comic shop) and he told me they referred to you as "The Boy Wonder".

I... sort of like the yellow paper (granted it's probably not great technically, but to an otherwise unfamiliar eye...)
