In the show Smallville season 4, they introduce the crystal which forms Superman's Fortress of Solitude. It is introduced in an interesting way, and worth an artwork:

It is a split crystal made of 3 different elements. The elements are hidden around the world in many different cultures, placed there by Kryptonians in the distant past. The Element of Water hidden in an underwater ruin of South America, the element of Fire hidden in hot sun of Egypt, and the element of Air hidden in the high mountains of China.

Clark Kent must unite the crystal before anyone else, for the advanced knowledge of the Fortress of Solitude could be used for evil ends if in the wrong hands.
