Joints are weaker than bones (at least, I think so...). I expect shoulders completely dislocated, but I'm not an expert

Dislocated is the idea or broken at the joint so it would look dislocated with more damage.

Will the looser dislocate her joints?

Working on something like that. Could be dislocation or a break. What are your thoughts on it?

The way this is set up you got to be all around strong so anything can go wrong. Its mostly about the twisting of arms in its visual flair. I did think about having them seated but as you said this was more visually compelling.Β Any suggestions for variations on this set up? I can do other arrangements. I would like to talk more about this if you want.

That is a idea. Will run some angle tests to see how it works in practice. having them side to side could limit angles from the left or right for the camera. Will see.Β I don't do commissions this is just a concept i am working on and sharing. As the project is right now its focused on the one girl. Will need to do a split screen for it to show the other later.

All the ideas i ran through in my head either has them facing each other or seated. The only other thing out side those would be to have them both still standing, side by side with the rig between them, but a restraining bar is in front of them. This also messes with the visual, though, so it's not that good. I do think having a seated variation on what you've done would still be a good visual having it's own charm.

Will try that out. Also did you see the bar between the legs to stop them from crouching?

Yeah, that's why I thought of the pressure on the low back. Funny enough, women can handle this particular kind of stress better than men in general.

It doesn't look like a "biceps breaker" at all.Β It looks like the stronger contestant could pull the weaker back onto the wheel by flexing at the waist (crunches) and extending her arms, which requires triceps, not biceps, strength.Β The horizontal rod between their thighs presumably keeps them from using their hamstrings to flex their knees, bringing their torsos down, forcing the other to bend backwards, since the ankle clamps would keep her from being pulled upward.Β The other pic shows them with their biceps and therefore their elbows already flexed, and flexing them further would pull the ropes closer to the flexer's head but would not have any effect on the other contestant.Β I presume that the spikes under the armpits are meant to keep the contestants from lowering their arms (I'm not sure what muscle does that--it would be in opposition to the deltoid on each side), but extending the elbows fully--a triceps exercise--looks like it would pull some rope through the device, although probably at an inefficient angle.Β This machine could certainly pose a test of strength between two contestants, but I don't think it would work as described in the first pic.

In all honesty think of it as how in arm wrestling everyone thinks the bicep does all the work but people are using leverage and just about every other muscle to win. Its just a cool name LOL. If someone lowered arms as soon as they thought they might lose they could probably twist the arms in a way to avoid injury so that is why the arm blockers are in place to stop that.
