This is one of my personal favorite pieces and I also believe it's one of my best to date. And it's another one heavily influenced by Toppi as well as Konrad Dielitz

The runes on the stone read:
Here this way the wind does blow
Over those who've fallen
The lord of death walks this path
All Father, come reap

It also has some history! Last year at SDCC 2009 I lost my portfolio which included the original version of this commission. Remember this guy? [link] Eternal gratitude goes to ~callacurt for waiting over a YEAR for me to finish this badboy. I hope the wait was worth it. I decided to turn his $80 commission into a $200 one. If theres anyway to get a good commission out of me its to request something Norse related

I bet it is! there are no borders when it comes to drawing a mysterious and visually unseen character, could be anyone or anything, there were lots of symbolism used in respect to the gods in many different cultures.
I simply love the technique, the black and white highlights the narrative of the character even more.. nice one!

I've just taken a brief look through your gallery, but I've fallen in love with your character designs and your beautiful lineart Odin looks... well, fierce, haha. I love the sweeping look of his hair and clothes, and the dark look on his face.

one great looking odin. out of all the great things and details of this piece, the way you managed to draw those two extra legs on odinΒ΄s horse, sleipnir, without them looking out of place, has got to be at the top.
