Description These are the most Spectacular takes on Spider-Man's Exploits I'm JEfimus and these are the Top 1o favorite episodes of The Spectacular Spider-Man

10. Natural Selection: Peter Parker and Spider-Man both must learn to own their choices when decisions made by Dr. Curt Connors transform Pete's mentor into the Lizard. The Lizard himself was a nice update of the original Lizard and he was still in his torn pants, shirt, and lab coat." Peter's uncomfortable secret-identity-handicap now spills from bully-abuse at school to utter injustice in his lab job. There was also an interesting aspect left for a future installment, as Peter kept the Lizard cure, which he believes could take away his Spider-Man abilities as well. Sure, he didn't use it yet, but it certainly seems like we'll be revisiting that concoction in the future. Doing a great job of blending Peter's "regular" life with his Spider-Man, action-oriented experiences, this episode really shows how well this series is beginning to come together and offer a very entertaining take on the Spider-Man mythology.

9. Identity Crisis: “Peter Parker, are you Spider-Man?” In this episode, Peter has to deal with one of the greatest fears of any superhero: getting your secret identity revealed. Throughout the episode, the Daily Bugle interviews all of Peter’s closest friends to see if they can find any supporting evidence. Meanwhile, Venom attempts to expose Spider-Man's Secret. Eddie Brock is portrayed as the cocky rival we all know from the comics. Not only does he casually waltz back into Peter’s life like nothing ever happened, but as Venom he also hams it up in front of the media as he brutally takes down Spider-Man. This attempt to destroy Peter’s life takes a new toll here. The later episodes in the series that feature Eddie Brock have a much darker tone to them than his earlier appearances, where him and Peter were “bros.” The fight scenes only add to the intensity, as Peter desperately tries to convince Eddie that the symbiote is evil, but gets beat in the process.

Survival of the Fittest: The First Episode of the Series kicks off with Summer is over for Peter Parker and school's ready to start -- both literally (it's his junior year of high school), and in the real world of crime-fighting -- as Spider-Man faces his first real challenge (The Enforcers) and his first real super-villain (Vulture)All in all, this is a Spider-Man story that feels like classic Spider-Man, and that's a good thing. Weisman and Cook aren't trying to make a specifically adult or dark story here - they're telling a fun Spider-Man superhero story, while not ignoring the character interactions that have helped make this such a memorable creation.

7. Catalyst: Marking Spider-Man's first with The Green Goblin the villain tries to not only replace Tombstone as the Big Man of Crime and Kill Spider-Man in the Process. Meanwhile On the night of the Midtown High Fall Formal, Peter's date, Mary Jane Watson, threatens to invert Midtown's social structure. Now In the Comics the 90's animated series and pretty much every Spider-Man adaptation that he has been in.  The Green Goblin has always been a nutty bad guy, but in this show he's all kinds of crazy.

6. Sheer Strength: Now in this series, Spider-Man has to Spider-Man deal with a lot of crap; he is put in so many deadly situations, and usually comes out of them with little-to-no problem. But few are as perilous as the climax of this episode. With The Sinister Six defeated the Master Planner Doc Ock has one more idea up his sleeve. With the help of Electro, Vulture, and Tinkerer, Doc Ock gains control of all the computer technology in New York, setting the city into chaos. All the while, he orders for Gwen Stacy to be kidnapped. He notifies her father Captain Stacy, and threatens to kill her if he does not get a code from homeland security that would allow him to control all government computers in the world. He complies, but fortunately Spider-Man arrives and saves the day. But This Spider-Man is willing to fight no matter what obstacles are facing him. His physical stress of being trapped under metal and the emotional stress of Gwen being kidnapped is enough to motivate him to use all his strength. We also see the mentorship of Norman Osborn in the life of Peter, and Norman continues to be as intimidating as ever on screen.

5. Reinforcement: At #5 is the Christmas special As Christmas approaches, the Sinister Six reconstitutes with Sandman, Rhino, Vulture, Electro, and new members Mysterio and Kraven. All they want for Christmas is Spider-Man Dead. Meanwhile, Peter Parker finds his wandering eye prevents him from being with Gwen Stacy. He'll have to learn to focus if he wants to get the girl, and if he wants to stay alive. Even without Doc Ock giving them orders or pitted against a black suited Spider-man or Red The Sinister Six are still formidable opponents but Spider-Man is out to make sure the The Sinister Six remain on the naughty list.

4. Persona: The Final arc of Season 1 kicks off when Black Cat breaks into the Empire State University Lab with the intent on stealing the Symbiote only to clash with Spider-Man But Black Cat gets away empty handed while the black goo binds to Peter Parker. The Episode not only handles the classic Spider-Man is Framed as well as cues from Amazing Spider-Man #13. Although the identity of the framer is changed, it’s an acceptable change that kills two birds with one stone and also highlights the debut of the Black suit by giving us Red Spidey vs Black Spidey.

3. Final Curtain After growing weary of fighting his henchmen Spider-Man must finally face his greatest foe, the nightmarish Green Goblin who haunted his dreams. No other villain in this series, not even Venom or Doctor Octopus, messed with Peter’s mind as much as the Goblin had. Peter ends one relationship and confesses his for Gwen who ends her relationship with Harry.  Spider-Man then rushes to check on Harry, suspecting now that Norman is the Goblin. But the Green Goblin shows up and Spider-Man is once again thwarted by this mystery. And after a series of more mysterious events, it is finally revealed that Norman is in fact the real Green Goblin, and that the Chameleon has been disguised as Norman from time to time. Spidey's final battle with the Green Goblin was the best scene in this episode and the series ends with a shocking cliffhanger.

2. Interventioneter Parker finally gains enough self-awareness to realize the alien symbiote hasn't simply bonded with his Spider-Man costume, it's taken over his life! But when he tries to remove it, the symbiote fights back, but Win help from the Spirit of Uncle Ben Peter fights back and figures out it's weakness it hates vibrations.  This episode sees a struggling teenager having to battle his inner demons and fight to become a hero once again. It also shows what would’ve happened if Peter handled his uncle’s death the wrong way, becoming a villain instead of a hero. It is perhaps the show at its darkest, but is also hopeful as the moment that solidifies Spider-Man as a true force of good, a real superhero.

1. Nature vs Nurture: Wow This Episode is in my opinion the definitive Spectacular Spider-Man episode and It also has the best portrayl of Venom in animation to this day . As Aunt May is released from the hospital for Thanksgiving, Venom takes notice and he has no intention of letting Aunt May and Peter enjoy the family celebration. Knowing all of Spider-Man's secrets - even some Pete isn't consciously aware of - Venom threatens to destroy Pete and everyone he loves most. The action is fantastic and brutal and Venom delivers one creepy and sinister line after another all thanks to his sick sense of humor. While SPTAS brought Venom to TV it was SSP that perfected the character alot better then Topher Grace did in Spider-Man 3.

While Spider-Man the 90's series was indeed a terrific Spider-Man show that says it fits in with the Marvel Universe, but Spectacular Spider-Man takes the place of my favorite Spider-Man show.  My favorite episode, "Sheer Strength".
