I've kept this painting on my deviation board in order to wait and hope to find the proper words to express my feelings about it.
After all, you do take some time painting, so can we commenting...
Alas, I'm sure those will not properly convey what I have in mind...
I know it pictures the river and riverbank scenery, but the light and position of the flowing river, the make believe center of interest in the boats, all those conspire to hide a deeper meaning... or maybe just a fleeting feeling, about the passing of time and how memories shape our perceptions, even years later.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful and emotive painting.
