Ahhh, how good it feels to submit my on fakemon... XDTHIS JUST IN: I just changed this guy's name from Psygarnet to Espyrope... Gonna take some getting used to...
...Shh, don't tell the other legendaries I've made, but this guy's my favorite. Sad how they just look like a trio instead of mascot legendaries...
So anywho, this is Psygarnet Espyrope, my Psychic/Electric legendary. If you can't tell by either name, it's a legendary based on the garnet. So in the game trio, he's the third mascot (The other two are mascots for Peridot and Aquamarine; a Grass/Steel type and a Water/Flying type respectively.)
As for a creature base, he's the Jabberwock. I don't know about flaming eyes and gnashing teeth and all that jazz, but he uses energy like nobody's biznass. Shoots from his horns, is stored in his gems, the whole nine yards. In other words, one hella cool legendary.
As far as the trio of them goes, they tolerate each other. They prefer to live separate lives, but they come together in times of crisis. Espyrope is the unofficial leader of them.
Dex wise? I'm thinking the Anomaly pokemon- 6'2", 217.5 lbs. Just pulled that out of my butt.

Debatable: Google definitions just says it's a monster with flaming eyes- and when you've got psychic powers... flaming-ish eyes are part of the bundle, usually.

Waaaay back in third or fourth grade, I was in this private summer sculpting class and we did this thing based on the Jabberwock where we made our own versions. When I think of a Jabberwock, I think back to that, which is how I got my inspiration.

Oooo, a fakemon based off the Jabberwock! I've wanted to make one based off it too, but I can't come up with anything good XD But I do love yours. It's not overly decorated like some of the legendaries nowadays, but you can tell it's not your common Pokemon either. Plus you didn't make something evil looking like the Jabberwock is usually portrayed. lol forgot to mention I like the typing too. aldkjadsf I'll stop now and say that I approve XD

Good to know it actually looks the legend! I'm going to give it a second, more spirity dragon-looking form to prove to everyone that it's a version mascot anyhow. I'm going to try and keep all three simple. ;D

That's cool you put so much thought into this! I think it's unique, and it still looks like a really cool Pokemon, not like some of the craptastic ones that have popped up since Ruby/Sapphire. This one is very passable. If you hear me say "I'd like to use that Fakemon in my own team!" then that means you got my seal of approval! I love the old days of Pokemon, with Gold/Silver!
By the way, I must ask what program you draw these guys in, and how you draw them. Tablet, I guess?

You'd be right about the tablet; I use CS5 to make them, but I'm going to attempt to adapt it to GIMP. Some day. XD

I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet, and GIMP and now SAI, but the tablet pen makes my hand cramp up really badly, so I barely use it. I'm more of a traditional artist, anyway, even if I would like to dabble more in digital art for the sake of making my cartoon art look more, well, official and professional.

That's a real shame about the tablet... But you certainly are an excellent traditional artist! I'm more of a pencil and paper person myself, but all that really comes out of it for the most part is silly little doodles and better stuff smudged by my left hand. XD
As a side note, I figured out that given the proper brush for lineart, the technique I use in CS5 works in GIMP, too.
