Finally, my first fan art of a Beatmania IIDX DJ!I thought I’d finally doing my first fan art of one of the DJs because this month, Beatmania IIDX celebrates its 20-year anniversary!
This is right here is my favorite DJ, Ameto Umegiri! She is one of three sisters and though she looks quite young, she is actually a lot older than how she looks because she is from a family of wizards (?). Apparently she has magic powers too. Her grandmother, a powerful witch, placed a spell on Ameto in order for her to preserve her youth. I like Ameto because she is girly and talented. She is young at heart, with a sense of style and a love for sweets and anything that’s pink.
Speaking of Ameto’s style, it’s what made her so fun to draw! I love the colors on her sweatshirt, hat, and skirt. She seems like she’s got a lot of personality and she is always very beautiful. When I first got into all the DJs she was the first one who really stood out to me.
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to draw anything on the actual anniversary of the series on the 26th when the anniversary really is, but I hope I can! Ameto was fun to draw and I’m sure the other DJs will be too!

Pansexuality is a complicated and incomprehensible thing, the color is cute, but the things I found are very strange...
DJ cookie hair color also has Pansexuality, just the wrong order, I am curious whether DJ likes proud colors

Pretty much just rigorous practice with traditional sketching is what I recommend.
I improved my line art greatly back in 2015-2016 by copying the drawings in a book I had called 'The Fundamentals of Drawing by Barrington Barber'. (Of course, you can use any drawing book)
I would copy one or more of the drawings in that book each day. It started out with simple shapes and patterns and eventually made it to copying still life and landscape drawings from the book. After a while, I also started referencing real life objects and places like toys I had and my backyard.
'Course I wasn't really that good back then but the whole point was to practice.
It's a boring process but the more boring the better imo.
Draw with a pencil and eraser, don't use ink or anything that you can't erase.
