LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! WELCOME ABOARD THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE! *.＼〔|[ `'ω' ´]|〕／.*

Hoo boy...where do I start with this? Okay, I'll start by stating the facts:

One year ago, in a galaxy far, far away....
A song found its way into pop'n music éclale, and a girl who was 14 years old at the time found herself becoming strangely obsessed with the song...and she still is now. That song is エアポートシャトル, or Airport Shuttle, by Chilt Featuring AquesTone.
That's basically the story of me and Airport Shuttle, in a nutshell. Said song first found its way into pop'n music on January 7, 2016 - exactly one year ago, hence why I drew this. The song actually came out on February 21, 2015 - at the time, I was actually on a vacation in Florida and was more interested in CBeebies than BEMANI (I AM BEING DEAD SERIOUS. Luckily those days are over; I was also extremely cringy between the ages of 12-13). I wouldn't have even thought about listening to the song back then. I first discovered the song in late December 2015, when I stumbled across this video made by Chilt, the artist of Airport Shuttle. This was when I first came across Tilt, the robot character he created to represent AquesTone...except, at the time, I actually didn't like Tilt, let alone AquesTone. (LE GASP!) I thought it was, in the words of 13-year-old me, "a horrible, low-quality Alt ripoff". I didn't know Tilt was fanmade - I thought Aquest Corp. invented her for the sole purpose of being a knockoff of Alt. I decided to investigate by doing a quick Google search for "aquestone tilt", and I came across Airport Shuttle's full version (DOUBLE LE GASP!) on NicoNicoDouga. However, the video had been deleted, so I didn't ever get to hear the full version. EVER. I wasn't even interested in it back then.

Then, a magical day known as JANUARY 7, 2016 came along. I was just minding my own business, checking Zenius -I- Vanisher for BEMANI news, when I saw that 3 new songs had been added to pop'n music éclale, one of which was:
エアポートシャトル / Chilt Featuring AquesTone
I was like, "Oh, great, that Tilt thingy is in Pop'n Music now? The end of Alt is near..." But, then, when I looked on YouTube for the video of it...I was in for a pleasant surprise! They actually put Alt 2.0 as its character, which made me OVERJOYED. Here's what I had to say about it:
"BIG NEWS!!!!! ALT 2.0 HAS A NEW SONG!!!!!!!! YAY!!!! ...but it isn't sung by her, it's by the program AquesTone which is another singing synthesizer. But I'm still excited. IT'S ALT 2.0 FOR SNEE'S SAKE. You know I love her to death. And Aques Tone is better than nothing, right? Even though AquesTone sounds a teensy bit like a vocaloid...(I know Alt's true voice/VocalWriter is 6000 times better)...the song is still so much fun to listen to. Alt 2.0 makes it better. Oh, and since I own VocalWriter (the program that provides the voice of Alt and Alt 2.0), I was thinking of making a version of the new song, but actually sung by Alt 2.0 instead of AquesTone!"

Then, I ended up finding myself OBSESSED with Airport Shuttle - and even finding myself developing a strong liking towards AquesTone! I even decided to stop by the Twitter page of Chilt to learn more about the Tilt character, and I eventually developed a strong liking towards her, and Chilt's music in general, as well!

Now, 1 year after its humble debut in éclale, I've turned into complete Airport Shuttle/Tilt/Chilt/AquesTone trash. I already listened to the song at least ten times today. I've also written "singable" English lyrics for it, ended up getting CHILT HIMSELF as a Skype contact (still can't believe he drew me those birthday pictures ), got the original vocals from the full version (thanks to ) , made it into a StepMania simfile , and stayed true to my word by making the version featuring really true ALT vocals! Chilt even ended up liking it on SoundCloud! Is it safe to say, I'M OBSESSED WITH THIS SONG?!

I even learned how to play it on piano. You know how most people, when they touch a piano, will play "Chopsticks", "Hot Cross Buns", or the ever-annoying "Heart & Soul"? (If I hear that last song ONE MORE TIME, I will throw their piano out the window!!! JK, I don't have Supergirl-strength. ) Well, I'll start playing AIRPORT SHUTTLE. Yep. I'm being dead serious. I also discovered this pretty tune thanks to Airport Shuttle. It's truly a magical song.

So, this picture was inspired by the song's mood and feel, Pop'n Music banner, and lyrics. Tilt's outfit is actually the original outfit she wore in the now-deleted NicoNico video of the song's long version (its thumbnail is the only thing that remains of it) ! The lyrics mention a "white coast" and a "dream world", so I decided to combine the two motifs to create the pastel-colored dreamy background of this picture♪ Looks like Alt 2.0 and Tilt are ready for their vacation~
