I love doing lineless art, it gives me lots of freedom to work..! ^^
So, I wanted to try to make a bit more realistic painting this time. It was fun! This picture was originally supposed to have three birds and a detailed background, but I threw away all the bushes and flowers in the middle of painting this. I find it hard to make less crowded pictures, but I'm trying..! xD

Jackdaws are my favourite birds in Finland. Most likely my number one favourite of ALL the native animals around here. People often find that surprising, since jackdaws are really common, they are greedy and bold, and people see them as a nuisance when they build their nests in their chimneys...
Many people shoot them just for fun.

But. I think they are extremely misunderstood.
Their greediness and boldness are just a proof of their intelligence, and their ability to adapt to new environments.
They live in flocks, and are socially very advanced, they can communicate with several different sounds and gestures.
Did you know, that a jackdaw can learn to do tricks and talk, just like a parrot..? (Of course only if he lives with people) Crows and ravens can do that too, and many other birds.
And I adore the blue / silver eyes of these birds. I've kept an injured jackdaw for a short while once, and his eyes were amazing!
