I seem to have a soft spot for characters who are determined and strong-willed. And yes that includes Undyne, one of my favourite characters from Undertale alongside Papyrus2015 has been a good year to me outside of school *coughgotintoarelationshipcough*, which really got me thinking about the people around me rather than being so self-absorbed in my own goals. Ohhhh school.... You're gonna have a bad time. Not the other way round. >8D *cough* Undertale references *cough*
Anyways! Another go at trying to be less perfectionistic like my previous illustration fav.me/d9lffkr , but this time with my signature thick lineart and solid shading
Also tried applying this "environmental glow" that my brother always says is lacking in my work 
Not satisfied with the mountains but I tried Can't keep probing at one artwork forever, y'know?Uh I guess I just got lucky with the pose, it came out exactly like I wanted with a mere few strokes. I no longer draw Sonic fanart as much as I used to, but I hope to draw Silver at least once every year to gauge my artistic progress. The Sonic series was what got me into taking art seriously, after all. Gotta give it some credit every now and then.

I love the positioning here, Silver really pops out at you, and his dynamic pose helps! And I love the contrast between his colors and the colors in the background!

This looks beautiful.
The pose looks great (I love it when the pose just happens, as opposed to fighting to get it to look right), he really looks like he's moving, the colours and shading really stand out as does the effect for Silvers powers. I think the background is fine, it's not the focus of the pic.
And. Determination. Undertale. All of my yes.

Hey, thanks for the comment! And yeah, I guess more instances of "the pose just happens" occur when you sketch often (and are thus familiar with the characters' anatomy/proportions) and spontaneously without the fear of it being wrong.

I really love how you drew Silver, I see you've adopted a new shading style! I like the color effects you added to show Silver's powers. Nice job on drawing the background. I like how the lava came out here.

It's been busy. I've started applying to colleges this year. It's been a rollercoaster of feelings with family and friends. How about you?

Been busy too, but 2015 has been a positive year for me outside of school. I've learnt how to better manage my time to spend more time with family and loved ones instead of being so fixated on my own goals or school work. I guess this could be owed mainly to getting into a relationship in early 2015

Your colouring style has become so much more detailed since the last time you drew Silver I liked how you varied the colours in the line-art according the glow. Great picture
