pretty much that was what this whole thing was: i felt like the pokemon and characters just went together, either because there's a solid reason behind it (ie hong kong likes fireworks and blaziken fits for that, japan likes cats and persian seems like the cat pokemon he'd have), or it just looks like they should fit (taiwan is pretty and so is gardevoir 8D).
