Huge file warning! *gonk* Dialup users beware!So, I've been promising people I'd upload pictures of my Yami pony for ages... and I only just now got around to it. T_T *sucks*
...Fear my bedroom's ugly wallpaper. XD;;
His original base was a 3rd generation Sparkleworks. I wanted to try my hand at customizing with something easily replaceable, before I started messing with my gen. 1 bait ponies. D:
T chose to do him as a "Twice as Fancy" style pony, with the symbol covering the whole body, rather then just the flank. The symbols are all pieces of the Millennium Puzzle (that I referenced from the episode where Keith smashed the puzzle. D: ). XD
Rather then rehairing him (since I had no replacement hair), I chose to try dying. I removed all the tinsel from his hair (poorly, I might add x.x), before attempting to dye the midsection of the mane and tail black. Clearly, the dye didn't take well. T_T;; So rather then magenta and black, it came out more like magenta and... darker magenta. *swt*
The body, eyes, and symbols were painted with several coats of acrylic (No, I don't know why I painted the body lavender. I think it was originally a joke, but by now I forgot it...
).The Millennium Puzzle was made from super sculpy, metallic gold acrylic, and an old keychain. XD

How did you cover Sparkle Work's original flank design, did you just paint over it or did you do something else?

Ah, I forgot to add that. o.o I actually remove the symbol prior to painting, since usually painting over it doesn't work well.
It's actually easy to remove original symbols. :3 Rubbing them with nail polish remover will take them right off.
