Adele blinked her eyes open slowly and stretched out her legs. She was happy; in a perfect bliss. She was in a home, with a family - and a nice one at that. She was the only dog of the family, so she had constant attention. The human members consisted of a middle-aged mother and father, parenting an elementary school boy who just loved to torment her and a high school girl who didn't time for a dog. She didn't mind the children as much, she just adored being around the middle-age man. He was a writer, so he was home alone all day with her. She would lay under his desk by his feet, constantly getting belly rubs by those feet while listening to the soft clicking of his keyboard. Whenever the man got a small writer's block or grew tired of research and typing, he would take the perfectly groomed dog into their backyard for a good game of catch, her favorite game. But that was in the past now. That middle-aged man had been dealing with cancer for many a year, and it got worse all at once. Soon the only family she would see would be the middle-aged woman and the children. She would get less and less attention, and soon none at all. But the day she would remember the most would be the day she left the family forever. The woman and her children had come home late, a lot later than normal - and they were all crying. When Adele tried to comfort them she was shooed away. Right out, like a disposable item. Her middle-age man would never come home. She would never have that family again. And now, all she had to show for it was her leather collar that lay snugly around her neck.

All we can do is keep breathing

So, ..Adele. That's why she's my favorite German Shepherd, the dear thing.
Its odd, I can relate to her in so many ways. Especially...Ack.

I wish I could have come up with a better background. :'c I had so many better ideas, but I couldn't find anything that would fit the colors and I was just asdf screw it.

(By the way she can shapeshift into a cat. When I want her to. xD -Rarely is she a shapeshifter-)
