Description a poem by anthony zephier

[link]

who is by far my favorite and most accessible writer of our generation. you absolutely must go and see his work, you just have to.
There is also a color version of this illustration, but I'm not sure if I should upload it or not. I like the simplicity of black and white. I'd love to just draw letters all day.

Oh, and as an afterthought, you should make fliers and posters for shows with that knack for text you have. Get reel paid, have a good time.

is there ego in favourite-ing this? i dunno but i just did it. also, for the above discussion's sake, i like this better than the typed poem.

Which do you like more, the poem or your piece?

well here they are one and the same, kinda hard/impossible to separate... you should certainly read the poem in plain text in addition to this illustrated rendering of it.

I did, I went to the guy's page, and I watched him. My question was pure curiosity, but what i meant was did you like the poem the way you wrote it or in plain text?

By the way, I really like your rendering of it.

it's still tough to say! if I were to sit down and want to read poetry, I would certainly want it in plain text. But if I wanted a short piece glorified but not necessarily for reading's sake, I'd illustrate it. It's also kind of a nice way to publicize a poem, too!
