Ahhh.. to be a kid again... can you go back and remember what it was first like to smell the ocean air.. or to feel the gentle tide rush up to your ankles.. the sand between your toes ... I can't.. but how exhilarating it must have been... just a small part of our awakening to the world around us...

If I may ask, how did you create that dark border effect? Vignetting the RAW? And did you do adjust some levels for that lovely contrast of colours?

Sorry for the late response here... I actually did a few layers here... first was a texture, which I think I doubled up on and then erased the middle.. then I put a threshold layer on and darkened it, then erased the middle again.. Hope that all makes sense! Thanks for asking and for the compliment! Oh .. and the colors are by layering in yellow and blue... actually .. here ya go.. this is the tutorial that I owe all my tones to!

i still get excited when i go to the seaside..especially my first glimpse of the sea as we get nearer and the smell..oh, i love the smell.. and i go a couple of times a month too..
