This was technically taken on July 3rd because that is when the city of Chicago does it's 4th of July fireworks (that way the suburbs can do fireworks on the 4th).I was playing around with longer exposures and the evening lighting. This I believe was a 1 sec shot with my digital camera set to an ISO of 100.
Inspired by the scene, but also by Benton Murdoch Spruance's "people at work" series which can be found at the art institute just across the street (behind me) from where I'm standing.

well......the problem with this photo is that it doesn't seem to be focused on anything ^^

I originally liked the portrait shaped one better but the horizontal one is growing on me. I think that's partly because it does seem to be more focused by not trying too show as much of what is going on and emphasizes the level split a bit more.
