Introducing my Red and Blue basket. It is weaved in the traditional fashion(post-contact: pine needles and sinew, though, in this case it's artificial. Traditional weave, though), and is made predominantly out of pine needles. The needles are native Utah pine needles found around school that I picked up, fashioned with artificial sinew, and a design on wood in the center.

I made this for my uncle, and just need to send it to him; he has no idea it's coming. I'm so excited to see what he thinks! I learned how to do this craft in High School, and have honed my craft over the years. I was so lucky to start up weaving again because of a project in my Native American Art class. With the needles all over the place, I couldn't turn it down. Now I'm open making a bunch to sell at a craft fair, or online. If you're interested, please drop me a line!
