Description This is my first serious attempt at a watercolour portrait. This was created about 2 weeks before my Harry's Birthday Portrait piece.

This is supposed to be the lovely, beautiful Billie Piper. Instead I've been told it looks more like a young Narcissa Malfoy from Harry Potter. All that told me was that I failed in likeness (oh well, I still enjoyed creating this!) and that Billie would've made the perfect Narcissa--no skunk hair!.

This is my fave out of my watercolours so far.

Execution time: less than 2 days.

Yes, yes she would. I believe she'd do very well at playing posh. Too bad that it wasn't her, she is such a lovely actress.

She really is. And I think it'd be a great role for her, too. Because it's a totally different role then say, Rose. It'd show how diverse she really can be.

I actually knew it was Billie as soon as I saw it, your painting is lovely. Gorgeous colour choses.

You're getting better and better with watercolours! The background textures are my favourite bit of this painting, they create a wonderful atmosphere. And shut up about the likeness! It looks exactly like her!

Watercolours are hit and miss with me. One will be good, the other...not so good. However, practice makes perfect.

Just because I didn't recognize it as Billie Piper doesn't mean you failed in the likeness. You showed me the reference pic and I wouldn't have known it was Billie in the reference pic either so She would have made a great Narcissa though I agree completly.
