Description Hmmm... Not too sure about this one.
It was meant just as a little stress reliever for myself in between my bachelor's thesis and several design projects... It's not perfect as it was just for fun, but I figured I would post it anyways.  I've started a much nicer one of Dusty flying over Niagara Falls, but it's being a bugger so I left it for a bit.

For anyone who is interested: The building in the back is the headframe for the abandoned McIntyre Mine, near Timmins, Ontario (Canada).  It was once a gold mine, but did produced a fair amount of copper as well.  I could go pretty in depth into hoisting systems and underground operations right now, but I'll hold myself back.  As I'm finishing up my degree in Mining Engineering, I find this stuff all pretty interesting

I caught the picture on the way home from a mandatory field trip during my second year of university, where we went to Timmins to tour an underground mine... it was a 9.5 hour bus ride each way, and I spent a lot of time looking out the window.  The fall colours were spectacular, and I've always really liked this photo.

I hope you enjoy

Mining engineering? Wow, that's different, but really cool!
And awesome picture! The fall is always so pretty! XD (I would be staring out the window most of the drive too if it was that long XD)

Thanks!   Fall is by far my favourite season.  This was in early September, but we were far enough up North that everything had already changed colours.  It was gorgeous.

Mining engineering is kind of an odd one - most people don't even realize it exists which is why my class size is so tiny (35 students) compared to something like civil or mechanical (around 200 students each).  I love the variety of it - one day I'm studying ventilation, the next, operations scheduling or hydraulics.  And my thesis is rock mechanics which is my favourite... although I'm tempted to go into the finance or management side once I graduate.  Haven't decided yet
