Description ..bow down and stare in wonder

I quite like the msg of the song Everybody's Fool by Amy Lee. Don't fake it. You'll end up hating yourself and you won't fool anybody anyway, basically

My connection have been acting upp all afternoon and I'm now insanely frustrated :S
On the bright side I've gotten time to make some images..

Poser and photoshop as always

Thanks in part to the hair, that's one of the most exotic faces I've seen in a while. It compels me to stare in wonder, and that alone makes the song so appropriate! Reading the other comments reminded me about the overlays in Photoshop, too. I never thought of doing that to light a scene! You can bet your bottom dollar I'm going to try.

Awesome! Each time I'm impressed by your hair-drawing-skills and the wonderful lighting you get out of Poser!

Awe, thank you!

I'll let you in on a little secret... I suck at poser lighting.. I do most of my lighting in photoshop
I'm glad you like it

You're doing it all in photoshop? That's even more impressing!

Well I think it's easier to do it in ps.. feels like you have more control
Poser lighting just confuses me

^^
So (if I'm allowed to ask) do you combine different rendered layers in PS or do you paint over the whole scene?

Some examples of my regular poser renders can be seen here [link]
as you can see they're quite flat

Mostly I use layers and layer blending modes.. for instance paint white on a layer set to soft light or overlay will brighten up an area.. and paint with a dark colour on a layer set to multiply will darken an area.. stuff like that

Ah, thank you!
That's a lot of work you're doing, but it's definitly worth it

Thank you
It's painted in photoshop.. On two other images (hellgate and Heads of tails) in my gallery I have links to tutorials where I explain a bit how I paint hair

I see. I will look at your tutorials.

It seems to me that realistic hair is one of the main points where 3D software is not there. Yet.

Thanks!!
