Summer is coming back! What better way to spend the day than to go to the beach and enjoy the cool breeze and salty waters. I decided to drive to my local beach for some suntanning, which seemed like a great idea on my part. I found a nice spot of sand somewhat near the water, put down a towel and lied down on my back, as I wanted to give my front side a nice tan first. I closed my eyes and felt the sun on my face, it was an amazing feeling and I just knew it was going to be a perfect day.

The sound of seagulls cawing, the waves crashing against the sand, and children playing around making sand castles. I knew that simply nothing could go wrong... Just how wrong I was. I felt myself drift off to sleep, as I was feeling very relaxed. It felt like I had only closed my eyes for a few moments, but I soon learnt that it was much longer than that. I awoke to find myself unable to move, despite my best efforts. After adjusting my eyes to the sunlight, I seen that I was firmly buried in the sand. I wasn’t even in the same spot I was sunbathing before, which was odd considering that someone would have had to move me without me waking up. The only parts of my body that weren’t buried were my head and my bare feet.

I knew very well what kind of opportunities this kind of situation could present, especially to someone who might have itchy fingers... I looked around at my surroundings, knowing that anyone could come by and play with my feet... I wasn’t panicked, or afraid in any way though... In fact, I was rather eager to see if anyone would come to my rescue, or perhaps... My demise...

My anxiety didn’t kick in until I turned my head to my right and noticed a sign that had been swiftly plunged into the sign... It read “CAUTION! Very tickling girl, please tickle me!” I gulped, knowing exactly why I had been buried here in the first place... I knew that my poor feet were in big trouble, if someone decided to stroll on by... I giggled in anticipation, wondering when it would happen, because I knew it would be inevitable. In the meantime, all I could do was relax, and wait... I wiggled my toes gently, trying to get the small grains of sand out from in between them, as I wasn’t the biggest fan of sandy feet.

My soles would curl up and wrinkle slightly as I moved them around in the sunlight, hoping that maybe someone would come rescue me, yet the anticipation of being tickled in such a position was inviting in some way. Suddenly, I could hear someone approaching...
