I do like it. I can see where you might to smooth and integrate the edges of some of the images. The mouse in front I thought you intended him to him somewhat a paper mouse feeling since I could see the edges but that did add to the whimsy. Definitely keep working on if you don't feel that much keen because it it definitely has potential. The whimsey and slight darkness intrigued me. I once had a poem that every one loved but I didn't. It nagged at me so I sent to Thom Gunn my mentor and he wrote back, "First reading, I thought how beautiful. Second reading, I thought how empty. Just beautiful images." I was so happy because I knew now what it nagged me. So I stripped it of every line but the first line. Hugs

Actually when you are doing this sort of picture it is not too unlike writing a story.
I feel this is the hardest part!
Even though I write a lot, when i make these pics. I find it hard to imagine what exactly is going on.
It is too easy to say that there was some sort of Holocaust and this house was the only one standing, no people just mutant rats.
I love Thom Gunn too, always have.
I guess my favorite poet today is Bob Dylan........I love the way he writes, 'association of ideas.' Brilliant.
We must talk more.

I do that with poems, put them aside then go back. I think art is telling a story but often is even more compact a moment then a poems. I have been fascinated by collage since I saw Dave McLean Sandman cover. But I cannot draw or paint and didn't know the pre digital methods of exposing and manipulating film. But with Photoshop, Illustrator and all the other software in creative suite..... And to me collage is the art form closest to how I am writing now. So have scanner, Adobe Creative Suite, a sis who has taught Photoshop for over 10 years and almost have all the legal permissions for the images I want to use for now. Wrote around 40 people explaining what and how wanted to do. No selling, only on DA and FB with links to their element I have used. Now I have to do my taxes 
I adore Dylan both his lyrics and voice.
I was saddened by Gunn's death. He was one of the most honest, modest men I have ever met with a great wit. Here this MacArthur Genius willing to be my mentor. And I use to write him about my life as well. He once said that he didn't like the style of writing I used until he read my poems and he now loved my poems, My heart almost exploded with joy. He also said that some of the lit professors at UCB looked down at him because he was "only a poet". They were more important because they were the ones that explained his work to others and he laughed.

So do I and and his collage as well. I asked him if I could write a poem inspired by one of his collages and he said he would love it. so waiting for the right time to do that. My ex of 13 years was marvelous at hand down collage, intricate precise cutting then blending edges with paint and hand made paper and silk screening, gorgeous but he always dismissed them because he really wanted to be a writer but couldn't write. Where I hope I have his skillful eye for placement when I start doing collage.
