How easy are they to look after compared to budgies and cockatiels?

I have found my conure at least to be a massive step up. He is a lot more prone to getting himself into trouble and will actively seek out everything to destroy plus he's very cage territorial. He's extremely lively and silly but in comparison to how placid and quiet cockatiels and budgies are he's actually the devil. I love him but sometimes I want to rip out my hair haha
My mother has a non tame one who can't be handled but he is allowed outside of his cage. He's a lot quieter and shy about everything and doesn't like to venture very far from his cage/play area. But I feel any tame conure is quite a handful.
Also they can bite a lot harder :s Something I have learnt from experience again and again and again

I guess what also comes if the individual's personality, some just like to be terrors more than others. My budgie will never leave anything alone! We need constant watch on him when he's out of the cage who knows what he could get into...
What about quaker parrots, how do they compare to conures?

Yeah individual personality is a huge thing! Conures do tend to have a more playful curious attitude.
I love my quaker parrot but she's definitely got a nasty streak in her as she is over bonded to me and hates anyone who isn't me. Besides the anger she's generally much better behaved and just stays either on her play pen and with me rather than ripping up anything. However she is very loud but that could also be the over bonding!

She sounds like Obi, my cockatiel, but with more noise! Although Obi is generally comfortable with all of us, he doesn't like strangers though.
