Description same hull, 2 different weapons fits.
The Top one features 8 point defense turrets, 2 carriers slots/fighter bays and 1 missile slot.
The Bottom ship is fitted with 6 missile slots, only 4 point defense turrets and 4 Targeting computers/enhanced sensors.

in this rough sketch, yeah it does. I will be stream lining the changes more as i develop this more. It will look less and less slap dashed together... i hope

oh its not entirey a bad thing. rough sketches allow for more variation, instead of being drilled down to an unchangeable aspect at the end of the day. weapon platform based spaceships would allow for much simpler logisitics and cheapen the cost for a fleet. its very smart actually, though usually results in less sxy more utilitarian ships.

Cool, modular ships, I like. It is fun seeing your sketchy stuff, it is neat to see the evolution of these ships before they become polished drawings!!  Question, will this class of ship consist of a base hull that can switch out modular weapon sections like lego bricks, or are the choices of weapons fittings made during construction and not changeable?

Yes, as far as i know, all the modules are changeable on these ships. So as you try different weapon fits, you can go back to the docks and switch out modules till you find a fit that you like. The main hull, makes the class of ship, and after that all the other parts are changable to almost anything except to a different class.
