I am happy with how it turned out.I did this completely with colored pencil, three of them to be exact, cool gray, black and white. I used a different surface to draw on with gives it a little different look but helps make it look grainy.
La Pieta, or The Pieta is a statue from the great Michelangelo, I have done five drawings of this statue so far, this most likely is my best.
Overall I am very pleased with it.

I like how this turned out. I have often considered working with just the cool greys but haven't done it. Gotta keep it on my list I guess.

this is really well done, i knew it was the Pieta even before seeing the title which just show how recongnizable it is just from your drawing.

Wow, this is my favourite drawing of La Pieta. I particularly like the effect from the different paper you used, it makes the close up look better in my opinion

this is beautiful...amazing...I have never been to Italy...but I would like so much to get there...my parents went there a few years ago..and they saw "La Pieta"...the amazing marble sculpture...
You succeeded so well to draw the face of Virgin Mary...I love your work...it looks like the outstanding marble sculpture
