Description Challenge 2! This one only took me a little over a day to do! 8D
Like my last one, this has a sneak peek at another character of mine. Read to see who he is. ;D
So much fun, and learned TONS more about backgrounds! AND HER WING- IT IS DECENT! 8D lawl. My best wing evarrr.
Unfortunately, I keep forgetting to draw her jewelry.
ALSO, my apologies for the crappy writing again. The are masses of typos hidden in this for sure. >>;

2. One of Queen Tulkiina's braided-leather tail-bands has broken. She is very concerned that without four of them on her tail, she is out of balance with the god Balodius. Go to Grandesque, find a Samhradh to craft a new braided-leather band for you, and present it to the Queen.

Bey’zai could have exploded into a mess of exited little gray feathers and brown fur.
The queen of the Twistoult had heard she had an eye for detail and a great appreciation for the art and fine craft of jewelry making. Perhaps…not to the extent that she wished she was, but hey; being recognized by such an important figure to her people for her favorite hobby was pretty good, none the less!

As instructed by the queen, Bey’zai found this a great honor, and took the braid, deciding that this trip may well be beneficial to her own crafting skill. Since her long and barely successful flight to Tookie Island not long ago, she had indeed practiced flying for longer durations, and so for this trip was unworried to travel all day if need be.
Her spirits were high, enthusiastic that she would easily find the perfect Samhradh among the Grandesque to repair the Queen’s treasured adornment. After all, they would understand its importance.

As Bey came to border of the drier and much rockier territory, a number of various large gryphons glared at her as if she were a terrible disturbance to whatever they seemed to be doing out and about a cluster of tall stones jutting from the dirt. Only when she came closer to find them whispering and shoving each other around in a rush, did she find they were huddled around another gryph who looked nearly enraged to be cornered by them.

“Hey!” Bey sat up, holding the broken braid like it was a white flag. “The…queen has, uh… sent me to…”
At mention of ‘the queen’, the group sat up and shoved at one another again, then decided all at once to bolt off, muttering and scolding themselves about ‘bad timing’ and ‘making a point’.
Now left with just the tired and angry looking gryph—who was trying to sort out a number of scattered belongings and ruffled feathers—Bey approached him slowly. He was a very large and pale gryph with a white mane full of braids and beads. He then cleared his throat loud enough to frighten Bey, and spoke in a deep clear tone.
“Well? You must have come here for a good reason. I can tell you are not Grandesque, for I have never seen you before…nor are you a Skrekrill as those ruffians were. I never considered them a very intelligent sort; you had not even said which queen it was that sent you. Either way…I owe you my gratitude. Bring that braid here…”
Bey found that she had little need to say much, as opposed to be very confused and overwhelmed by the strange Tookie she had once met.
“This is the braid for-“
“Queen Tulkiina's tail.” As he held out his yellow palm to take it, he eyed it closely while Bey shrank down, nervous at being so close to a serious stranger as himself. “Has this been abused? Perhaps she was careless with her trinket here and decided to send you on a fools errand to bother one of the Samhradh and waste his time.”
Bey fluffed indignantly up after a moment of shock at his words.
“That is NOT just a trinket! She prizes all four of those braids very dearly, and would not have just anyone fix it! Even her messenger was chosen specifically for their understanding of such a thing and its importance to the Queens holy balance!”
The white gryph stared at her for the outburst, holding up the braid and glared as if he could snap a chunk out of her hide the moment she moved. Bey shrank down again, and stared right back. He then burst out laughing heartily at her, to which she felt she must have missed some unheard joke at her expense. “What? What’s so funny?”
“Why, You are! You are small, but I can see you are most determined beneath those nervous little feathers of yours. What is your name, young gryph?”
“I am…Bey’zai Mulxi. I… make jewelry. Well…I mean, I try.”
“I’m sure your work is quite lovely and intricate. Your small and fine claws are no doubt perfect for such a task. My name is Hestheireon, a Samhradh and Drusieach. If you come with me, we shall have this braid repaired just as it should be for your queen. You may even stay the night if you wish. I would not consider it an intrusion, as you have already done so, and in a most beneficial way to me. In other words, we are even.”
Agreeing with a quick nod, Bey helped him gather his remaining items that had been scattered from his bag, and even carried it for him as she followed him to his cave.
As it was already sunset, and he took his time replacing bits of leather and rebraiding it, it was well past dark by the time he was done. She watched silently for most of it, and found herself strangely sleepy and dozing off as he repeated several soothing chants over the item.
When Bey awoke the next morning at sunrise, she found a strange bag tucked under her head like a pillow, and no sign at all of Hestheireon. Opening up the bag, she found first a scroll, then the Queens braid, good as new, a large and juicy fruit, and a small pouch that clattered with many tiny sounds. Unrolling the scroll first, she found it addressed to herself, regarding the bag and each item. Apparently, the bag was now hers, the fruit was her breakfast, the braid was given his own personal charms that should bring the Queen good luck, and the pouch was a gift she was not to open until the queen received her braid first and Bey was done with her task.
Though she was absolutely elated to get a gift, she went by the words in his scroll and left after eating. She was full of energy and vigor, having little trouble making her way back, even with the large bag in tow.
When she returned to the queen, she found little interest in seeking high praise, but smiled and replied that she was very happy to help, and that she had other things to see to right after her return. Bey then retreated to her little nook in the rock and lay with her claws digging into the bag for the little pouch. As she slowly poured the contents out to look at, she was in awe. There were polished stones and numerous bits and fragments of various precious stones. As she studied each one closely, she found that they had been chipped away from larger stones, and were likely the fragmented leftovers from more grand adornments of his own design and crafting. Bey’zai spent hours sorting them out and bundling them together, planning out which would be for what projects she had yet to even start. She later found herself carrying around one particular clear crystal, daydreaming on a high perch of the mysterious Hestheireon.

I LOVE the way that you draw their hands. 80 (I know that sounds weird, but I always have trouble with birdy hand things X3; )

I think I had lots of fun staring at this compliment a number of times. Seriously, I really love your white gryph's, and I guess... I didn't really draw any of my gryphon's hands right...technically. x3 I actually sorta 'cheated' and made them more like peoples hands. I think, also, that gryph's are a great excuse to draw large-jointed and somewhat monstrous hands. :>
