When the name "Hummer" crosses your mind, you probably think of the legendary Hummer H1 or the later H2 and H3s, with their oversized mass and gas guzzling engines, and their impressive off-road capability. But you probably wouldn't think that a name so associated with inefficiency would suddenly evolve into something that embraces it. This is the all new 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup. Built as the first of two models, the other being an SUV, the Hummer EV is reinventing the Hummer into something that embodies efficiency and capability. With over 1,000hp and 11,500lb-ft of torque from it's lithium-ion battery powered electric motors, this truck can go anywhere it's older gasoline/diesel siblings can. It also has the distinctive "Crab-Walk" mode courtesy of it's four-wheel steering system, to make parking and navigating tight spaces a breeze. Weighing over 9,000lbs, this truck can do 0-60 in 3 seconds flat. It's as much of a guilty pleasure as it's older sibling, the H1.
