Your cross hatching looks so natural. I love the sense of motion conveyed by the camera following the enterprise into the star field. Also clever to disrupt the dark colored uniforms against the dark star field with the horizontal bars. The horizontal bars also make the portraits looks like they are being displayed on a computer screen too. It's clear why you are a pro.

Well, the ensemble cast was so large, sometimes other members or guests needed the chance to be featured instead of the regulars. In this case, O'Brien, Ro, and Guinan got some love.

This is incrediable work- your usual high standard. But why isn't there an option to add this to one's favorites?

This is great!!! Your drawing of Ro is fantastic. The idea of the shape for Guinan's hat is awesome too!

You should be doing the new Star Trek comics instead of David Medina. I would have loved to see you do Star Trek: Countdown, Spock: Reflections and Nero. My gosh, you are so freaking talented!

Thank you!
Yeah, it was cool to feature a few other favorites from the cast. With my comic book covers, I was fortunate to have editors that gave me lots of creative freedom, namely, Bob Greenberger, Alan Gold, Margaret Clark at DC, and later, Tom Mason at Malibu Comics.
I featured Guinan, O'Brien, and Wesley on other covers (posted elsewhere in my gallery). But I always wanted an excuse to draw Ensign Ro Laren. In her brief appearance in the Trek universe, actress Michelle Forbes turned the whole show on it's collective ear. And she recently did the exact same thing on the new "Battlestar Galactica." That lady has incredible beauty, talent, and screen presence.

This so amazing ;_; The layout is ingenius and the portraits of all the crewmembers are flawless, and I love how you shaded their faces.

Thank you, Pinky.
I don't know why there aren't more comments, though it's not required.
I guess it's more about who you know on here, and what you choose to post...?
I've noticed the higher traffic flows toward the more common comic book fare, like X-Men, Batman, and Spider-Man, and there are lots of cliques.
No big deal.
I'm not concerned with popularity contests.
I'm just having fun here.

I love this! Brilliant use of the black space, to put the ship there. I only wish it was a forward-facing or side facing view; it seems awkward that's it's going away from the viewer. But everything else is absolutely perfect; you've captured every actor sublimely and I'm deeply impressed. Well done!

Thanks!
I've done tons of Trek illustrations, and I've seen even more. I wanted to do something less typical with the Enterprise, and having the ship looming outward toward the viewer would've been trite.
It also would've drawn too much attention away from the other elements in the illustration, which I didn't want. Depicting Enterprise moving away, or INTO the picture pulls the viewer's eye in as well, particularly toward the detailed portraits of Picard, and Guinan. This was my intent.
Finally, the rear view of the ship better conveys the sense of journeying, aptly complementing the different planetary scopes I've illustrated. With the idyllic landscape I rendered, a quieter composition was warranted, rather than a dramatic shot of Enterprise. This travelling angle of NCC-1701-D properly accomplishes my goals, and I'm sorry it's not to your liking.

And everyone looks exactly like they're supposed to. That is rare in comic book adaptions of real people. Love it!

This is perfect, I used to watch this show heavily with my father, and that makes it even more thrilling to look at. The scenery just adds to this picture even more, when you could've stopped with the planet.
