If you can bear the temps, winter is the best time to go - little to no tourists, and the snow on that place and the La Sals, just wow. another world...

Looks absolutely beautiful.

amazing contrast between the red rocks and blue mountains. yeah, we camped at the Grand Canyon when it was 27 degrees out -- and THAT is warm for winter. Utah is even colder.

After that, my husband said no more camping. It's hotels for us from now on when we travel.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

really nice shot, and as far as how sharp it is, Promaster lenses are really well known to those of us who use Minolta equipment. They have been around a LONG time and are often overlooked.

Thats one thing I rarely do is frame a landscape with a telephoto... after seeing this I think I should... save some petrol too!

well, I believe the "crispness" came from the fact that you shot this at the most absolute magic hour. the light is perfect. When I first saw this I thought you combined 2 images. I have never seen the Lasalle Mtn range look so grand behind Arches. you've done it again man
