Here you have it!: The Second edition of my yearly set of Halloween and Horror-themed drawings, this time, much less Gory and nauseating, and a bit more- No, much more pleasant for a select group of my Watchers.- Are you happy now?This time around, instead of depicting Password walking through a graveyard of his darkest memories as his entrails fall to the crisp, moonlit ground below his paws, I placed Venus in what appears to be a Pumpkin patch. Sounds peaceful enough, right? Ahh, I suppose it is rather serene in the brittle, Autumn season- That is, until Venus begins to melt into a Jack-O-Lantern, himself. Poor Tom, as if having to put up with Clocks wasn't enough- Now he still has to deal with him, except now, being a Pumpkin, he can't walk away from him. Ahh, well, it was great while it lasted.
I figured that this line in the song "Six Foot Deep" by Creature Feature was perfect for this scene, and Venus's character in general, for it is true- All Venus has ever known, was in fact the "Unknown." Clocks, Quake, the motives of the corrupted Spirits, and even his relations between him Ex-Mate Agony, and brother, Password! Oh, and who could forget- Suddenly transforming into a Pumpkin isn't exactly common, either.

Ahh, I obviously needed an Update on my Blog- To change the coloring on the text to a seasonal, Black and Orange, to switch the Polls located on the Sidebar, and the most important- To change the Background to a creepy, yet friendly to all ages drawing glorifying Halloween. Though "(-BaD-BlooD-)" fit the category of "creepy," "friendly to all ages" was certainly not on the table. So, I figured that I'd start a new drawing -A character with Orange and Black the same. I began the rough sketch, and as I continued through the process, he turned into a pumpkin along the way.

Yes, that is exactly what you see! ^.^ The spikes on his collar are also shifting, from the fearsome claws of the Spirits, to the leaves found on a Pumpkin vine. ^.^

I have to comment further on this later, but I lie the half-and-half look! The moonlight and Venus' skin seem too close. Too much orange! Maybe lighten up on the moon? Or make the borders a little better between the two areas?

Too much Orange? Ahh, allow me to explain: That right there, was completely intended. You see, seeing that Halloween is right around the corner, I wished to truly express the rather frightening thought of transforming into what would be considered a monster- Which in this case, would be the bright, Orange Jack-O-Lantern. The specific lighting was placed to especially detail the looming experience, you see? The moonlight is in the correct spot called for, and Venus isn't necessarily too close to the light, considering the angle I had drawn this as. I hope you understand. ^^U
Haha, I'm considering dressing up as a Werewolf, though I am pretty sure that my Werewolf costume could also pass off as being Curtis Rx from Creature Feature.

I hven't decided yet, to be honest. I keep tossing around ideas but I cannot decide. I want something original, fun, comfortable to wear and something I can almost cosplay. I want to act with the costume to make it more fun to wear around others!

Okay, let me quickly explain to you why the moon is a bright Orange, as compared to a mellow and mild Yellow coloring, or cool and calm Blue or White coloring: To begin the word harvest must come to mind during the Autumn season- Ahh, the picking of Autumn themed plants for the upcoming months of the creepy October, and the quiet and peaceful moth of November- Corn, Gourds, and who could ever forget; Pumpkins.Β
The word "Harvest" also brings to mind the term "Harvest Moon." TheΒ time in Autumn inΒ which the moons appears as an Orangey glare- For what reason I am unsure of, but the basicΒ point is, it's Orange. You see, I wished to create a connect between the two- 'Could Venus be transforming, due to the Orange, Harvest Moon?' The amount of Orange was used as a tool to hint around in that effect- And of course, represent the signature colors following Halloween- Orange and Black, of course!
Plus, Venus and the moon are complete different shades of the coloring, rendering the effect even the slightest bit. Now, if I had made them both the same shade, that would be a bit of a different story.

Ah very nice! Good for you to consider the sesaonal color of the moon in your drawing. That makes it more accurate! I haven't thought about it like that, but you are very right to color it in such a way

I hope so. I feel embarassed to not have an idea at this point, since I want something original that I can act well in (almost like cosplay).
