The first one is free, thats how they get you. One free hug you think whats the harm in that but next thing you know your addicted, and you spend all your time thinking about when and where your next hug will come from. I have been down that road once befor it isn't worth it.

There is often a group of people on my campus with "Free Hug" signs, but somehow, I think they piss off more people than they cheer up. For giving away happiness, those assholes are aggressive.

I imagine the trend has probably gotten out of hand. It's one thing when one nice guy on the street wants to give you a hug, it's completely different when you're getting accosted by trendy teenagers looking to get youtube fame.

I think people are just closed off, really. Plus, hugging a stranger who happens to be a female, even if she is wearing a t-shirt, could turn into a sexual harassment case pretty fast.
