yeah i actually still have the PSD.
I did..her entire skin one layer, the front half of her hair on one (the bangs down and right half her hair closest to the camera), and the back of hair on another, her tattoo on one, and shirt on another.
SO Five totalllll.

ah I hope that makes sense.. it was layered like..
front hair

skin (on this layer it was actually everything..chest, skin, arm, make up, eyes, lips.)
back hair.
you can't see it.. but I actually drew in the other eye and its make up-- because i did the body layer first.. and was pissed when i realized the hair was going to cover it all up. so she has two eyes.

deviantart has some AMAZING tutorials.
its not hard at all. I learned by using tutorials - but eventually you find your own way :/ now I do some crazy weird way i'm trying to explain in words - but it just doesn't come out that easy.

hm, would it be explained better in a video tutorial? all the vectoring tutorials on youtube are extremely dry with lots of time lapsing (I can't really blame them, haha...) but they don't seem to provide a lot of detail on how the tools can work or offer ideas on different ways to keep breaking off pen tool lines :/
there are tons and tons of tutorials...but there are few that have artists as good as you demonstrating them XD
