Description
This graphite pencil drawing was inspired by my love for Manga and Anime. I looked into Japanese and Chinese Calligraphy and decided to focus on the Chinese signs of Love and Hate, then I incorporated it with one of the most popular signal of love— the cross. The sign of Love is imbedded in the blood flowing from the cross. Hate is signaled by death. There are also evidences of the last supper in this art piece. The end product of this drawing is an acrylic painting on cardboard, with a vivid warm foreground (reds, oranges, yellows) and cold background (blues, purples).
