my baby cousin!

She is seriously the most adorable thing EVER.

This is my first shot like this.. different tones for me, different subject, different angle, different border etc. Hope you guys like it.

Do you like the border? I was debating between this and a thin white border... thoughts?

Any suggestions are welcome!

haha no probs. I've def made the same mistake with other babies.
She's older now (2.5)and you can totally tell she's a girl. Every time she sees me she goes for my shoes and jewelry.. a real girly girl!

In short what I think of this photograph

Exposure : Wonderful
Colors : Speaks a story
Focus : Perfect
Composition : Correct
Subject interest : Interesting look on the face
Things to improve: composition can be improved. Maybe some crop required

i played with the cropping and i didn't like it any more cropped. I'm *very* pleased with this image.. I'd say it's in my top 3 faves.

don't apologize. just b/c it's one of my faves doesn't mean it has to be one of yours!

I won't be in the same country as her again until the summer so unless I can find a shot that I took before that I like.. i'll have to wait until then She's going to have grown up so much by then! argh. i wish i could photograph her all the time!

Such deep eyes, you hit this one just right. And yes, the boarder you chose is fitting, in my thoughts. It's there to keep everything together but you don't notice it too much and doesn't overwhelm the subject! Just great!

This is an amazing angle. And the title fits the picture perfectly. I like those types of borders but with these colors.. I didnt even notice it was there until you mentioned it.. so not for this picture. Maybe instead of a this white border the selected area around the edge could be the picture lightened??

Maybe instead of a thin white border. Around the edge you could brighten the picture..

hmm i'll consider that, but I've actually gotten used to the one I used. I kinda like that it's so subtle you don't even realize it b/c I don't think the border should be what jumps out at you

I'll play around with it though and see if I like your suggestion
