Description
A couple of inspirations here; Robert Doisneau's wonderful photograph "The Kiss" which I've been wanting to do some sort of response to for years, and the wonderful song "Isn't This a Lovely Day" written by Irving Berlin (if you haven't heard it one of the best covers is a duet by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong). In case you're wondering, I'm a huge pluviophile...or rain lover though I think I'll not be depicting rain again for a few weeks, I need to untie my frontal lobe after this one. However, I'm a huge Asami Sato fanboy so I have a few ideas more for our snazzy adventuress. Any comments welcome! Prints will be available soon!!Pen and Ink on Bristol Board

The fact that you went all out to create the textures by lines denotes your dedication and motivation to go one step beyond.
Even the wheel of the car behind them, the illusion of speed on the caps. Beautiful.

I've thought about that a little bit, I always conceived it as a black and white piece though. Maybe some spot coloring? I was also considering coloring just Asami and Korra inside the bubble.

Thanks, it was tricky but I'm pretty pleased with the result. Funny thing is to get the circle I couldn't find a compass and had to trace around a alarm clock!

It really doesn't. Even before I realized they were in a romantic arc they where just a pleasure to watch together. And I leave it up to interpretation but I have a hunch that Asami just reached down and planted one .

Thanks! Yeah, I'm still playing with the scan adjustments in photoshop, unfortunately when I make it darker the lines begin to really lose a sense of subtlety and become far too harsh.
