Description

Did a diddle of Olórin from the new Hobbit flick! I've been a 'Ringer' for 12 years, and loved The Desolation of Smaug, even if it was a little different from the book it worked in the film nicely I think.

Tools: Photoshop CS5, Wacom Tablet

Time: Didn't keep track this time...

This piece is very well done. The color transition is very appropriate considering it shows how much Gandalf has endured to help Bilbo and the dwarves as he can.

Thanks. -Oh yes you must! Its better than AUJ more dragon action, it also has more of that magic that the LotR movies had (honestly can't put my figure on why though). And of course, CGI is just fantastic as always.

Maybe that magic is because the plot has gotten a littler further? More action?

And dragons make everything better. ^^

That helps, but I think it has more do with the atmosphere and mood (photography and lighting). lol -But yeah agreed on the dragons note.

This is amazing, I really love the fact that you left Gandalf a silhouette.

Thank you! I wasn't sure which version I liked better, so I posted all three. -Which one do you think looks best?

The one in the center, i like the black border since it draws you towards Gandalf and I like how you stuck with b&w on it.

Cool, good input. -Still deciding which I want to print for the frame I got it, I was kind of leaning towards the middle on too.

Alright cool, if it's a black or white frame than I think the middle one would be an excellent choice.
