Foxes are wild not domesticated animals. California has laws against keeping ferrets as pets. Most states and cities regulate animals, even domestic dogs and cats. Some do not permit you to own a pit bull dog. In most places, it is illegal to own, without special permits, wild animals such as foxes. Only falconers, with special permits, can own and fly birds of prey. Check with your local animal control office or fish and game department. If you did have a fox, what happens when it grows up? Where will you keep it? What will you feed it? What happens if you are walking it like a dog and it bites a doh or someone? What happens if it chews through its leash?

This Fox is from the British wildlife centre, I dont own it, It isnt a pet.. It wasnt me holding it, it was a member of staff there, I only took the photograph...
