Description And another! My self portrait for tonight, but finished early (at 1 a.m. this time). Shows off my large chin, which I feel less self-conscious over after falling in love with the work of J. W. Waterhouse and the Pre-Raphealites.

I think this is my second favorite so far...

Nice, like the others I like the use of white and dark space, also like the lighting you used for the art peice, but I'm wondering how it relates to the story of the Lady of Shallot?

I kinda like this one too--you use negative space really well in it and it has a lot of depth and offsets your profile really well. I also really envy how you make the lighting in the pic feel very warm and natural. This is my favourite one too, I think. Excellent work!

I love your comments, you leave the very best ones... And the lighting was lucky, I happen to have some great reference photos lying around from a photography class last year. I'm so glad you like this one, thank you!

Well, I have great material to comment on, so my task is a pretty easy one. I just wish I told funnier jokes.

Luck had something to do with it, but there's talent involved here too--the reference might have given you a blueprint to go from but there's something that happens in your self-portraits (especially this one) that takes something very realistic and something happens that makes it "art," if I can be that high-falutin'.

You do it a lot, and do it with bravado, and that's why I always enjoy seeing your work. And you're welcome!
